The hair is like a crown to every woman’s head and face. Losing the hair, for any reason, means losing the crown. The Walker Foundation was founded exactly on that principle – to provide 100% customized hair wigs to all the women who are suffering from a hair loss, due to medical reasons, without any cost!
How does The Walker Foundation work?
We are an non profit organization, that is open to donations to all those who are willing to contribute. With the gathered donations, we supply wigs to the people who are suffering from hair loss and who needed them, but cannot afford them. This is the crucial and basic mission of our foundation.
Besides donations, we host different events, with the only purpose of educating and bringing awareness to the hair loss issues, how it can start, the emotional impact it can have on a person, and finally, how we can help and contribute. The educational part is extensive and colorful, including everything, there is to know about the hair loss problem and the wigs as a solution to it.
Since hair loss is a big and important issue, our Foundation also provides consultations on this matter. Alongside these consultations, we desire to inspire and build self-esteem for those who are experiencing hair loss, and who want to know how to deal with it. It is a great step into growing further awareness and getting educated.
The Walker Foundation is also a huge supporter of other organizations that deal with the same or similar issues. The core of our functioning and existing is to provide meaningful help, in the form of creating customized wigs, as well as supply products for hair growth – all that to the people who need it the most.
The support that we are having and receiving, is a way to support other people. By giving it back to the community and those who need it, we are successfully fulfilling our mission.
